Google Tag Manager · GA4 · Google Ads
Your ads are running. Is anything counting?
Forms, calls and purchases, counted once, in every tool, with matching numbers. Set up in three to five working days, tested in front of you, documented for whoever comes next.
The free check: send your URL, get back within one working day what is installed, what fires twice, what never fires, and what it would cost to fix.
What it looks like from your side
You already know
something is off.
None of these is a Google problem. Each one is a setup that was never finished, and each one is fixable in a day.
- Ads says 40
Google Ads reports forty conversions. The inbox has twelve enquiries. Nobody knows which number to trust, so the budget follows the wrong one.
- Twice
GA4 counts two pageviews per page because the tag is in the theme and in the container. Every rate on every report is half of what it should be.
- Calls
Half your leads phone you. None of those calls appear in Ads, so the campaigns that make the phone ring look like they do nothing.
- The banner
The cookie banner either blocks everything, so you see a third of your traffic, or blocks nothing, which is a different problem.
- Never linked
Search Console and Ads were never connected to GA4, so organic and paid live in separate tabs and nobody adds them up.
The free check
Send the URL. Get the diagnosis,
not a pitch.
Within one working day you get a short written check of the site as it is: which containers and tags load, whether GA4 fires once on every page, which conversions exist in Ads and whether they are imported or duplicated, what Consent Mode is actually sending, and whether Search Console is linked. Plus the fixed price to make it right, based on what you pick below.
- Done by hand with Tag Assistant and DebugView, not a scanner
- Yours to keep, whoever you hire
- If it is already fine, that is the answer you get
What gets set up
Everything counted once,
everywhere.
The same scope every time, because the same five things are missing every time. Outcome first, tool second.
Foundation
One container, one tag per page
Google Tag Manager on every page, GA4 firing exactly once, Conversion Linker on, auto-tagging on, GA4 linked to Google Ads and Search Console. Duplicates removed, not hidden.
Conversions
Counted when they happen
Form submissions on success, not on click. Click-to-call. Calls from the website through a Google forwarding number, reported separately from calls from ads. WhatsApp, email and download clicks as secondary conversions.
Audiences
Lists before you need them
Form starts, key pages, deep scroll and outbound clicks in GA4, so remarketing audiences exist the day you want to use them.
Consent Mode v2
Denied until they say yes
Wired to the banner you already have. Default denied, updated on choice, verified in the consent debugger. Modelled conversions fill the gap Google allows, nothing else.
Proof
Same event, three tools, same count
Every event tested end to end and shown in GTM, GA4 and Ads at the same time. Then a written report, screenshots, a list of any code touched, and a 30-minute walkthrough with your team.
How it goes
Five working days,
and the clock is honest.
It starts when access is granted, not when the invoice is paid. If you are waiting on a developer or a banner vendor, the clock waits with you.
DAY 0
Access
Publish rights on GTM, admin on GA4 and Google Ads, owner on Search Console, a login to the banner tool. The checklist arrives with the quote.
DAY 1
Audit
What is installed, what doubles, what is missing against the scope. A short findings list before anything is touched.
DAYS 2 TO 4
Build
In a GTM workspace, previewed against the live site. Nothing is published until every event fires correctly in preview.
DAY 5
Prove and hand over
Same events, same counts, GTM, GA4 and Ads side by side. Report, screenshots, code changes documented, a 30-minute walkthrough.
Proof
Measured for 500,000 people.
Measuring this page right now.
For UNTOLD, one of the top 3 festivals in the world, the measurement system pulled eleven platforms into one screen every morning, attributed sales to fifteen individually tagged links, and explained rather than hid the gap between web analytics and the sales database.

This page runs the setup it sells. Open Tag Assistant on it. Consent is denied until you say otherwise, every option you tick above is an event, and the form you send is a conversion I can show you in GTM, GA4 and Google Ads at the same time, with the same count.

Before you ask
The questions
that come up first.
What is the difference between GTM and GA4, and do I need both?
Google Tag Manager is the container: one snippet on the site that loads and controls everything else. GA4 is one of the things it loads, the one that stores your traffic and events. Ads conversion tags are another. You need both because the container is what lets any of it change without a developer.
Do you need to change my website?
Usually one snippet, and only if GTM is not there yet. Everything else happens inside the container. If a form only reports success on the same page, one small change may be needed to signal it, and the report says exactly what was added and where.
Does it work with WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, a custom site?
Yes. The container sits above the platform. What changes between platforms is how forms and checkouts signal success, which is what the audit day is for.
What if I do not have a cookie banner?
Then Consent Mode has nothing to listen to. Pick “Cookie banner installed” above and a CMP with a free tier is configured and connected as part of the job. The licence, if you outgrow the free tier, is yours.
Do you run the Google Ads campaigns?
No. The setup is built so that whoever runs them, you or an agency, can trust the numbers they are optimising against. If you want a recommendation for someone to run them, ask.
What about e-commerce and purchase values?
An option above. GA4 e-commerce events with value, imported into Ads as a purchase conversion. Shopify and WooCommerce at the listed price; a custom checkout is quoted in the free check once I have seen it.
Why do Ads and GA4 never show the same number, even when everything is right?
They count differently on purpose. Ads attributes a conversion to the day of the click; GA4 to the day it happened. Ads models conversions it cannot observe when consent is denied; GA4 reports only what it saw. Add attribution windows and the numbers should differ by a small, stable margin. When the margin is large or moves around, something is broken, and that is what the check finds.
Who owns the accounts afterwards?
You do. Your GTM, your GA4, your Google Ads, your Search Console. I work inside them with access you granted and can remove the day the report is accepted.
What does it cost?
The check costs nothing and stays free whatever you decide. The build costs what the estimate above says, fixed, excl. 21% VAT, invoiced in RON at the BNR rate of the day. The check confirms it or corrects it before any work starts. Half on start, half on acceptance.
